Hi. I am Walt Wang, a third-year PharmD/MPH student at the University of Iowa. I am honored and humbled to serve as the GPAC Chair.
As a student at the College of Pharmacy, I have been involved with many organizations, which have given me valuable insight into the function of GPAC. Some notable organizations that I served: Student National Pharmaceutical Association, Phi Delta Chi Professional Pharmacy Fraternity, and National Community Pharmacists Association.
From my experiences in student organizations, I value communication, transparency, and teamwork. This coming year, I look forward to working together with the Student Organization Business Office to provide resources and assist in the financial needs of University-registered student organizations. I also look forward to working with the GPSG team and GPAC committee members to help increase the impact GPSG has in helping support student activities. As GPAC Chair, I have three main goals: (1) improve the ease for student organizations to apply for GPSG funds, (2) increase the transparency and understanding of the application and allocation process for student organizations, and (3) provide a framework for accountability of funds so all graduate and professional students can know that GPSG has been a faithful steward of their student activities fees.
