Hi all! My name is Ris, and I am a second-year master’s student in the Department of Biostatistics. Originally, I am from a rural town close to Dallas, TX, but spent my undergraduate education roaming the mountains in Bozeman, Montana. In 2020, I received my B.S. in Mathematics with a concentration in Statistics from Montana State University. In addition to being a GPSG delegate, I am the Vice President for the Biostatistics Student Organization and the College of Public Health Graduate Student Association. My current research is a national randomized cluster clinical trial with biostatisticians, epidemiologists, and neurosurgeons. In my free time, I enjoy getting Teamo Tea and Insomnia Cookies with my husband, walking the Terry True Blood trail, and photographing landscapes (or a bunch of corn in Iowa).
