This year’s Prairie Preview Exhibitor Fair will be from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 14 in the International Ballroom at the Iowa Memorial Union.

Attendees can connect with more than 35 local and regional environmental organizations dedicated to conservation, sustainability, and environmental education. The fair will feature interactive booths, hands-on activities, and valuable insights on how you can make a difference in your own backyard and beyond. The fair is free to attend, no registration required.

Bur Oak will also welcome Robin Wall Kimmerer, acclaimed author of “Braiding Sweetgrass” and MacArthur Fellow, for a special presentation at 7 p.m. May 20 at The Englert Theatre. Kimmerer’s talk will explore themes of restoration, reciprocity, and creating a more harmonius connection to the land.
