On Friday, Oct. 31, a new initiative called "Law & Philosophy at Iowa" will host its first event and launch party. We hope you'll join us!
We kick off with a talk on "Experimental Jurisprudence" by Yale philosopher Josh Knobe at 3:30pm in the Old Capitol Building. Knobe is a leading figure in using empirical methods from psychology and cognitive science to explore issues in philosophy.
Following the talk, there will be a costume-optional reception from 5:30pm-7:30pm at the house of Professors Jordan and Patridge (in a neighborhood with solid trick-or-treating). The festivities are open to faculty, staff, and graduate students from law, philosophy, and psychology who come to the talk.
To attend the talk, just show up! To also attend the reception, please register here: https://uiowa.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bdAniwr0hkBPCei.
