You're invited to join us on the evening of Thursday November 13th, at Trumpet Blossom Cafe in Iowa City. Doors open at 5:30, program starts at 6:20. Investigate Midwest will bring together a diverse group of storytellers to discuss water and its impacts on their lives. Through an evening of storytelling, interactive engagement, and a silent auction benefiting Investigate Midwest's investigative journalism and educational initiatives, WATER: The Current of Life seeks to create a space where attendees can listen, reflect, and participate in a broader conversation about water, water quality, and the community. The event will be emceed by Iowa Public Radio's Charity Nebbe and recorded for broadcast on Talk of Iowa.

The heart of the event will center around a live storytelling-based program that will offer an intimate conversation where storytellers will share their journeys through 10-minute off-script stories. The event welcomes a wide range of narratives that contribute to a broader understanding of water and the diverse experiences it encompasses. Larry Weber, IIHR—Hydroscience and Engineering director, will contribute his expertise on water resources to the conversation.
