Dr. Bramoweth, PhD, DBSM, is a Research Health Scientist at VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHS) in the Center for Health Equity Research and Promotion (CHERP) and the VISN4 Mental Illness Research, Education and Clinical Center (MIRECC). He is also a Staff psychologist at VAPHS in the Behavioral Medicine Clinic where he treats behavioral sleep disorders, particularly chronic insomnia. His program of research is focused on improving access to insomnia care using methods from implementation science, clinical trials, and leveraging VA’s electronic health records to better understand and inform Veteran health and care delivery. He is also engaged in research on the feasibility, acceptability, and value of digital sleep interventions to improve access to care and de-implementation methods to reduce prescription sleep medications.
