Syllabi and curricula vitae (CVs) are foundational academic documents that circulate widely across teaching, hiring, and evaluation contexts. Because they are frequently shared, reused, and converted between formats, their structure has a direct impact on usability and accessibility.
In this session, we examine common CV and syllabus patterns and apply practical techniques that improve navigation, clarity, and compatibility with assistive technologies. Topics include heading structure, meaningful link text, accessible tables, alternative text for images, and strategies for working with legacy documents and PDF exports. Participants will leave with approaches that support both creation and revision, helping these high-impact documents remain usable across platforms and over time.
