I’ll Make it a Home is an MFA thesis exhibition by Harper Folsom. She merges techniques in printmaking and hand papermaking with imagery and materials pulled from childhood. Her work is about the comingling of memories between family members, and a tender recollection of childhood, not so far removed from the present as initially thought. The artist's personal memories morph into family history—communal, multi-generational memories living beside each other, happening all at once. The exhibition and accompanying papermaking workshop will be held at Sacred Collective, a community gathering space in downtown Iowa City.
