Help the Iowa Raptor Project celebrate World Migratory Bird Day!

Join us at the Falcon Shelter for a fun-filled morning of activities for the entire family! Meet our live education raptors! Learn to locate and identify birds through sight and sound as you enjoy a guided bird hike with one of our experts. Observe the bird banding process led by our federally and state licensed bird bander. Discover the world of Purple Martins and learn more about our work to welcome this species to Macbride Nature Recreation Area.

Guided Bird Hikes will depart from the Falcon Shelter at 9:30 am, 10:30 am, and 11:30 am.
Purple Martin talks will begin at 10:00 am and 11:00 am.
Bird banding and live raptors throughout the morning!

Cost is $5 per person.

Activity Level: Easy
This is an family-friendly event which will be held outdoors. Please dress for the weather and consider comfortable footwear suitable for walking on uneven terrain.
