Exploring the Benefits of Group-Based Gratitude

New research shows that gratitude isn't just about what we express–simply receiving or observing gratitude can have positive effects on the brain by strengthening connection, boosting wellbeing, and reducing stress. In this session, you'll learn about the UI's Gratitude Group Program, where participants share, receive, and witness appreciation in a supportive group setting, complemented by a collective online journal. Attendees will also take part in a brief, interactive gratitude exercise to explore the topic firsthand. This session is sponsored by the College of Education.
