Join us in welcoming Qiang Huang, a Professor at the Daniel J. Epstein Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Southern California, to the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering Graduate Seminar.

Dr. Huang will present his seminar titled "Freeform Shape Quality Control for 3D Printing: A Domain-Informed Small-Sample Learning Approach". This talk introduces a domain-informed, small-sample learning methodology for freeform shape quality control in smart 3D printing. The approach includes domain-informed representation, dimension reduction, and interpretable learning to identify invariant quality patterns, optimal compensation of shape deviations, and transfer learning based on the process equivalence principle.
