Part of HANCHER’S 2026–2027 SEASON
Presented by HANCHER AUDITORIUM

A brilliant pianist and a top-flight orchestra bring a world premiere and music by Beethoven.

The acclaimed composer and conductor Matthias Pintscher—whose conducting credits encompass outstanding orchestras from around the world—became music director of the Kansas City Symphony in 2024. His arrival demonstrates the upward trajectory of an ensemble that has a long tradition of excellence.

Inon Barnatan started playing the piano at the age of 3, when his parents discovered his perfect pitch, and made his orchestral debut at 11. He brings virtuosity and charisma to every piece he plays.

Barnatan and the orchestra will present the world premiere of Chris Rogerson’s Piano Concerto.
