Hawkeye Service Breaks is a program that exists to promote service-learning, social justice, and community building to University of Iowa students through a spring break experience. Participants will enroll in LS:1024, a 3-semester hour class that meets once a week during the spring semester, in addition to the spring break experience (March 14-19, 2020). This course does receive a letter grade. Additionally, there is a $175-course fee, but fee waivers are available.
Hawkeye Service Breaks is offering twelve different trips each with a unique focus area. This spring, some of the focus areas include education equity, urban housing, public health, and food justice.
