Hawkeyes recognize that non-consensual sex is sexual assault.  

Consent is freely and affirmatively given.  If someone doesn’t or can’t consent to sex, it’s rape.  

It’s on us to obtain consent and look out for someone who cannot consent.  We acknowledge that if a person is asleep, unconscious, or incapacitated due to alcohol or other drugs, they are unable to give consent.  An omission is never permission.
