If you're traveling for Spring Break, the Graduate & Professional Student Government has an amazing low-cost option to get to and from the Eastern Iowa (Cedar Rapids) Airport. In collaboration with the Undergraduate Student Government, our partnership with Yellow Cab of Iowa City is continuing to make sure all students have an affordable way to travel for a break.

This spring, the shuttle service is changing its model to have four central pickup locations to better manage a large number of student reservations. Riders will select one of the following pick-up/drop off locations:

The airport shuttle will offer departure services from Iowa City to the Eastern Iowa Airport from March 12 to March 16. The deadline for departure reservations is March 10 at 11:59 PM CST. Arrival services from the Eastern Iowa Airport to Iowa City will be offered March 21 to March 23 with a reservation deadline of March 19 at 11:59 PM CST. Please be aware, the deadline is firm, no reservations will be accepted after the deadline passes.

Riders will have the option to select a pickup time at 30-minute intervals from the four locations from 4 am–11 pm during available dates. Shuttle needs outside the set hours or dates are expected to find alternate transportation. All riders will be charged $10 for their shuttle ride. Please note, riders are not expected to pay or tip drivers. All payments will be assessed via U-Bill unless otherwise requested.

Submitting the reservation form constitutes confirmation for your shuttle reservation. Yellow Cab will reach out to you 24 hours in advance of your requested pickup time to confirm the location and time of your reservation. Riders with any cancellations or delays must call Yellow Cab's designated Dispatcher Phone at 319-341-7939 or risk being charged a no-show fee. Please remain vigilant for any correspondence you may receive from Yellow Cab prior to your departure or arrival.
