Nanle is a 2nd year Ph.D. student at the University of Iowa College of Nursing and serves as a Research Assistant at the Center for Nursing Classification and Clinical Effectiveness. His academic journey in nursing began at the University of Jos, Nigeria, followed by a master's degree in social work in healthcare from the University of Debrecen, Hungary, where he was awarded the Scholarship for Christian Young People.

Nanle's faith background, discipleship, and mentorship experiences have shaped his research interests in nursing informatics. Specifically, he is passionate about holistic nursing care and nursing informatics, particularly in spiritual care provision and electronic health record documentation.

Beyond his academic pursuits, Nanle is an active leader and mentor on campus. As the director of mental health for the Graduate & Professional Student Government (GPSG) at the University of Iowa, he strives to promote holistic mental health and wellness. Holistic mental health recognizes the interconnectedness of mental, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual well-being, emphasizing the importance of addressing all these aspects for overall health and well-being. Nanle and his committee are dedicated to raising awareness about available resources and engaging in innovative activities that support mental health from a holistic perspective.

In addition to leadership and academic roles, Nanle generally speaks four languages - English, Hausa, Pidgin English, and Hungarian. He enjoys a variety of hobbies, including football, table tennis, cooking, and offering hospitality to others. His love for travel, photography, and making new friendships enriches his life, while he finds relaxation in short comedy skits. Nanle's interests and extracurricular involvements make him a well-rounded individual committed to personal development and service to others.
