My name is Shannon Walsh, and I am currently a third-year law student. I was born and raised in Des Moines and received my bachelor's from the University of Iowa in 2023. I am a lover of Iowa City and a big proponent of students pursuing interests and activities outside of their program of study—you can reliably find me moonlighting as a bartender downtown on the weekends or attempting (futilely) to catch every new release at Film Scene. A few of my goals as Vice President are to create and continue building opportunities for graduate and professional students to make connections between colleges and with the surrounding community, and to build out support for international students and everyone else affected by ongoing changes in state and federal policy. I'm looking forward to working with and learning from other student leaders in serving the graduate and professional student constituency.
