Airiana Mohr
My name is Airiana Mohr (she/her), and I am a third-year graduate student in both the Master of Public Affairs (MPA) and Master of Arts in Strategic Communication (MASC) programs here at Iowa. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in neuroscience from Iowa in May 2023. While I am originally from Rockford, Illinois, this will be my seventh year in Iowa and my seventh year in student government.
As an undergraduate, I served in USG for all four years. I started in GPSG as a member of the GR Committee before serving as Cabinet Director last year. As Vice President this year, I'm excited to bring my passion for student advocacy to improve our campus for all graduate and professional students. I'll be focusing on increasing GPSG's reach, increasing access to mental health resources, and expanding the GPSG ball. I also hope to work closely with our undergraduate counterparts to spearhead joint initiatives affecting all Hawkeyes.
Outside of GPSG, I am a research assistant with the Graduate College's external relations team, where I have the privilege of writing stories about the amazing work and research our graduate and professional students are doing. Have a story idea or know someone with interesting research? Send them my way!
