Bethany Walczak
My name is Bethany Walczak (she/her/hers), and I am a fourth-year Ph.D. student in the School Psychology program in the College of Education. I am from the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area and received my B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Educational Psychology from the University of Iowa in May 2021. I have been involved in other graduate student organizations and have worked closely in both research and practice to improve both the mental health and mental health awareness of those I work with.
Some of my goals this year include working closely with University faculty to increase mental health training and education, as well as create lasting resource education to provide to all incoming graduate and professional students on campus.
When I am not studying, I enjoy watching movies, binging TV shows, going to the gym, and spending time with friends and family. While in my role as Mental Health Director for GPSG, I am looking forward to collaborating with faculty and students across campus and continuing to improve how the University best serves its students.
