Biography

Celine D. Fender is a fourth-year doctoral candidate in higher education and student affairs in the College of Education. Their research interests include student and faculty mothers in academia, graduate student single and BIPOC mother experience, trends in international higher education and student mobility, and activism among student-athletes. They have worked for several years in Hawkeye athletics. They also have experience instructing Diversity and Inclusion in Athletics, Administration in Higher Education and Student Affairs, Athletic Transition Seminar, The College Student Life Experience, Proseminar for Ed.D students, and Student Development Theory.
