My name is Karley Monaghan (she/her). I am originally from Overland Park, KS. I got my B.S. in Chemistry with a double major in French from Iowa State University. Currently I am a fifth-year Ph.D. candidate in the department of Neuroscience and Pharmacology. I work in the lab of Dr. Chris Benson where we study the role of Acid Sensing Ion Channels in heart failure. This year I am serving as the President of the Graduate Student Senate. Our mission is the be the voice of graduate students in the Graduate College. When I am not working, I like to play video games, play volleyball with friends, and cook.
