Hi y’all! My name is Karlyn Simcox, I use they and she pronouns, and I am an alternate delegate for the University of Iowa College of Law. I’m originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, but the most recent place I called home before Iowa is New Orleans, Louisiana. There, I graduated from Tulane University with degrees in International Relations and Legal Studies in Business as well as a gender-based violence certificate. My work supporting survivors of interpersonal violence and organizing for change in various contexts motivates me to try to represent as many graduate and professional voices as possible. When I’m not working or studying, I enjoy getting out in nature and spending time with my cat Lily.
