I am a fourth-year PhD student in our Educational Policy and Leadership Studies department and serve as a senator on our Graduate Student Senate. Before coming to the University of Iowa, I taught middle and high school science in Iowa. My research area explores queer and trans student mental health and how powers of oppression influence mental health. I look for ways to challenge what we accept as “normal” and am excited to bring this advocacy to GPSG.
