Sarah-Rose Ballard (she/they) serves as the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Director for GPSG. She is a dual-degree student at the University of Iowa College of Law and School of Social work. She is in her final year of both programs and intends to graduate in May 2023 with her J.D. and M.S.W. Sarah-Rose hopes to collaborate with other student organizations and affinity groups to ensure that GPSG is amplifying their voices. Along with that, her goals for this year include justice-oriented education and outreach across campus. She looks forward to using her position to advocate alongside historically marginalized student and faculty communities.
When Sarah-Rose is not working on GPSG initiatives, she can be found interning with Inside Out Reentry Community or practicing in the Federal Criminal Defense Clinic. Outside of work and school, she enjoys hiking, traveling to see friends, or hanging out with her pet snake.
