Do you want to be on the front lines of Graduate and Professional Student Government (GPSG)? Do you want to have a platform to enact change on campus? If so, consider applying for the GPSG Executive Team!
GPSG is seeking to fill two important current vacancies on its executive board for the May 2021-May 2022 term:
- Health and Safety Committee Director
- Finance Director
A description of each position and expectations follow as per the constitution listed here.
Health & Safety Committee Director
The Health & Safety (HS) Director is responsible for working with the HS committee to create, plan, and implement GPSG's student health and safety agenda. The HS Director will serve as the primary contact between GPSG and campus offices and initiatives related to health and safety.
Finance Director (FD)
The Finance Director will serve as the budget director for GPSG. The FD will also oversee the operations of the Graduate and Professional Allocations Committee (GPAC) and the Graduate and Professional Grants Committee via the GPAC Chair and Grants Director, and report directly to the GPSG President and Delegates. The FD will oversee the finances related to those two committees, but will not facilitate the decision making process and will not hold voting rights in the committees. The FD will conglomerate and distribute Registered Student Organization (RSO) funding requests and GPSG grant applications to the GPAC Director and Grants Director, respectively. The FD will also be responsible for communicating the maximum allowable funds for each budget or grants cycle.
