The GPSG Interprofessional Committee is happy to announce the GPSG Food Pantry Drive to support the University of Iowa Food Pantry. Our drive also coincides with National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. See below for a full "wish list" of food and other items.
The Food Pantry is a free service available to any University of Iowa student, staff, or faculty member. The pantry is open weekly at the Iowa Memorial Union (IMU) and the Pride Alliance Center by appointment.
The drive is an intercollegiate challenge to see which school can raise the most donations; staff, faculty, and administrators are more than welcome to participate!
Individuals have three convenient opportunities to participate and support the Food Pantry:
  • College item drop-off - Drop-off locations can be expected at the following colleges: Public Health, Nursing; Law; Pharmacy; and Medicine.
  • Iowa Memorial Union (IMU) item drop-off - Donations can also be dropped off at the IMU welcome center. There will be a sign-up sheet where individuals can mark down their college. This is also the main drop-off point for individuals connected with the Graduate College and College of Dentistry.
  • Virtual donations - Two-step process: 1) Individuals can financially donate online, (https://tinyurl.com/gpsgfooddrive). 2) To compete in the intercollegiate challenge, donors should then screenshot their donation/receipt and send it to gpsg.interpro@gmail.com.
